JUNE 5 - Heritage Explorer Bike Tour - LHVA invites you to join the first annual Heritage
Explorer Bike Tour on June 5, 2010 from Mellow Park, Blakely. The event will offer participants the
opportunity to experience the region’s natural beauty and history as they ride the beautiful
Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. More information and details are available:

OCTOBER 7 - Community Fall Walk on Rail-Trail at 5p.m. from the Union Dale Trailhead next to
the R-T office, Main Street, Union Dale. Connecting to the "air" around us, linking our breath
with our mind/body connection can enhance our walking/hiking experience. Ed Golecki will provide
information and a short presentation regarding yoga/breath work/mindfulness. There will be a
short walk/hike to incorporate the information into the activity. Join us for a nice evening
with a bit of information/education and a bit of a walk.
OCTOBER 9 & 10 - Visit the Rail-Trail Booth during "Octoberfest" at Elk Mountain
Ski Resort, Rt. 374, Union Dale. Brochures, information and R-T merchandise.
OCTOBER 23 - Community Fall Walk on Rail-Trail at 9a.m. from the Forest City Trailhead
located on Industrial Park Rd. (off Rt. 247), Forest City. Connecting to the "air" around us,
linking our breath with our mind/body connection can enhance our walking/hiking experience.
Ed Golecki will provide information and a short presentation regarding
yoga/breath work/mindfulness at 9 AM at the Forest City Trailhead. We'll practice what we have
learned with a brisk morning walk leaving from the Forest City Trailhead.

| The 3rd Annual D&H Distance Run

The 13.1 mile race will be an "out and back" run on the D&H Rail-Trail from
Forest City to Union Dale on Sept. 12, 2010 with a 9AM start, chip-timing. The run is a great tune-up for those
training for the Steamtown Marathon and a great race for those attempting longer distance runs.

This year the field is limited to the first 325 registrants.
