D&H DISTANCE RUN
The 2nd Annual Half-Marathon on the D&H Rail-Trail Sunday, September 13, 2009 Click here for the race results. Click here for event photos.
The D&H Distance Run benefits the resurfacing of the next ten miles of trail from Herrick Center to Thompson. This 13.1 mile race will be an "out and back" run on the D&H Rail-Trail from Forest City to Union Dale. The trail is basically flat, approximately 15 feet wide, and recently resurface with fine crushed stone. There is a slight upgrade going northward and a slight downgrade for the return and finish. The run is a great tune-up for those training for the Steamtown Marathon and a great race for those attempting longer distance runs. All finishers will receive a D&H Distance pin. No duplicate awards. Downloadable information available: D&H Distance Run brochure containing the Registration Form and Race Participation Agreement. This year the field is limited to the first 275 registrants. Register as soon as possible. Award Categories for Runners
